The Color Factory

The Grade One and Two classes performed a beautiful musical called the Color Factory.  They worked very hard but enjoyed every minute in preparing for their production.  What would the world be like without any color?  Fortunately, we will never have to find out as our days are filled with a wonderful group of children that add color to our lives.  Thank you so much to everyone who helped in any way.  A special thanks to Ms. Reid, the teachers and the students for such a fantastic performance.

Artists At Work

Kindergarten students have just completed their ceramic project with artist Isabella St. John. Here is a class holding their ceramic plates and food that they just finished painting. Children sculpted their own food from clay and painted it after it came out of the kiln. Children mixed their own colours and are very proud of their unique creations. Please come see their work at the ArtsSmarts Exhibition which will be held in May.

Volunteers Needed

Starting September 2009 In partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Holy Trinity Elementary is looking for volunteers to come into our school one hour a week at lunchtime and volunteer their time as a mentor to children ages 6 - 12.  To find out more information on being involved in this rewarding program please contact mandy@helpingkids.ca.

Our New School

We would like to remind family and friends that for the next year and a half there will be major construction happening on our school grounds.  The construction of our new school has begun.  Over the last few days we have been monitoring the traffic coming onto our school property and we fear that there are serious safety issues.  Please review the drop off and pick up procedures in your child's agenda.  These have also been reviewed in our Newsletter.
